Summary Of Yugioh

Hello and Welcome, here I will explain all about Yugioh... Feel free to sit back and relax, because you're in for a long, long ride.... You see, Yugioh began as a Comic Book (Manga in Japanese terms), and slowly workedd it's way up... Many people in Japan started to read these comics, and because of that recent demand, it was decided. The were going to make Yugioh into an Animated TV Series! (Anime in japanese terms) Now, before I go any further, Yugioh is about a game called 'Duel Monsters', which originates from 10000 yrs ago in Atlantis (Earlier Believed That It Originated 5000 yrs ago in Egypt) Not much is known about the differences with the game played in Atlantis, the game played in Egypt, and the game played now... Yugi Motou is the main character, apart from his alter-ego (In Yugioh Terms they Call It A Yami), named Yami-Yugi... Yami-Yugi's spirit resides in an Ancient Egyptian Artifact that was passed on to Yugi by his grandpa (Solomon Motou). Yugi is believed to be a re-incarnation of Yami-Yugi, who once ruled as the Pharaoh of Egypt (Pharaoh Atemu)

He and his gang, who mainly consist of Joey, Tristan, Duke & Tea, travel together in many adventures over the timeline of Yugioh. One of their first adventures was when they were transported to the Shadow realm to play a game with the Evil Bakura (See Character Bios) Not much is known by me about this series, but I hear it only lasted a small amount of episodes, and was only aired in Japan. Once the first American series followed, things started to heat up, card games were created (Based on The Cards From the Show), Models & many other collectables... This new craze swept the nations, with kids swarming into the stores to buy anything related to Yugioh. After the first American Series, Yugioh became the top selling Anime in the world, and even dominated Pokemon. The sequel to the first series bought a new item in to the market. The 'Duel Disk' is created on the show by Seto kaiba, as an improvement from the original dueling method. The actual product differs from what you see on the show, being that it doesn't project holograms... After that series, another version of the Duel Disk was created, this version only differing lightly from the original, because it slides out instead of popping into place. From what I've heard, the original Duel Disk did much better than the newer, more compact version... Over all there were 10 series ever created before they decided to close off the series. But they didn't fail to impress Yugioh Fans with a new series, which is yet to hit America, called Yugioh GX, which you can read more about on my future GX site...
