Miaka Yuuki
The fifteen-year-old girl who enters the Book of the Four Gods
and becomes Suzaku no miko, or the Maiden of Suzaku.
The very first seishi she meets is Tamahome, who saves her and Yui
from men who try to capture the girls and sell them.
The girls are brought back to present Japan, and later Miaka
re-enters the book after a quarrel with her mother.
Miaka grows as the story progresses. She grows more mature,
and becomes more focused. From a pleading child, to a contented
adult. She is well-loved by everyone, especially Tamahome, Hotohori,
Nuriko, and Tasuki.
