Fushigi Yuugi Fushigi Yuugi is about a 15-year-old Japanese girl named Miaka, who finds a hidden magical book called the "Shi Jin Ten Chi Sho". This book absorbs both Miaka and her best friend, Yui, therefore marking the start of a journey the two will never ever forget...

Miaka soon finds out that she has been chosen to be "Suzaku no miko". She has to find all her seishis, who will protect her until the time when all seven seishi are gathered, they will enable her to summon Suzaku, the god of Konan, who will give her three wishes, and only three.
