In my opinion, Eddie Villanueva is very strong. He will survive even without the other candidates. I don't think Lacson nor Roco will give way. It's a very nice probability to say so though.

What might be common though is the possibility of the other candidates to be of help to the government of the winning candidate. Afterall, Eddie Villanueva can be that "healing" president.

I do not have the details of their talks (in reference to the rumored merger between Lacson, Roco and Villanueva) so I can't comment further until more information are released.

Villanueva can win the presidential race even without forming a premature alliance. With the objective of bringing a moral transformation in the government from top down, I don't think that is an option.

Villanueva supporters believe that additional votes are being earned each day of the campaign for their guy aside from the solid vote he already has in the first place.

Three is a crowd. Why don't Roco and Lacson join forces instead if indeed one is willing to step down, which I think is very unlikely contrary to the speculation that Roco will slide down to VP.
