1. PRESCHOOL MINISTRY

It is committed to God's mandate to build a solid biblical foundation in the lives of the children based on Luke 6:48 and Proverbs 22:6. It is committed to reaching and helping out the poor children in the islands through sponsorship program. It is committed to reaching out to the preciouschildren ages four, five and six yrs. old as well as to their parents. One of YWAM-Surigao's oldest ministry is the King's Little Ones Kinder Home in Talavera Island. Recent Preschool Director is YWAM Staff Gladeys May Tioaquen with two volunteer teachers, Imelda Ejandra and Imelda Kosca.

 

2. STUDENT MINISTRY

The Base opened its doors to accommodate some students from the islands who study in the city. Thestaff take turns in discipling them. But the best privilege given to them is the daily exposure to the christian community lifestyle.

3. HOSPITALITY

Year after year, the base accommodates hundredsof church workers, leaders, staff's relatives and frieds, DTS Outreach Teams, and even weary travellers and droppers-by from the islands. We believe that as long as Surigao Base exists, hospitality will be one of its most important and relevant ministries.

4. SURFER'S MINISTRY

It is committed to reaching out both local and international surfers for Jesus. It all started way back in 1997 when a Surfer's DTS from Maui, Hawaii came to Surigao. They had their outreach in General Luna, Siargao Island where the famous Cloud 9 is located. Cloud 9 is internationally famous as the Surfer's Paradise in the Philippines.

5. EVANGELISM AND DISCIPLESHIP

All the staff are involved in this ministry. Wherever they work and reside, they share the Good News and conduct bible studies to help young Christians in their growth and maturity.

6. Staff Outreach Ministry

Once in every three months, all the staff conduct seminars and teachings in church related matters to churches in far away areas. These outreaches proved mutually beneficial to both churches and staff.

7. CHURCH PLANTING

Reaching the people both inland and islands for Christ. Planting churches in places that don't have a church yet.

8. BASE LOGISTICS

The "behind the scenes " ministry of office work, communications, base maintenance without which the base cannot function are composed of dedicated, faithful and persevering staff.

9. HOSTING AND COORDINATING LOCAL AND INTERNATIONAL OUTREACH TEAMS

We provide accommodation, orientation, and firsthand mission exposure both city, tribal, and inter-island evangelism. We provide outreach opportunities both city, inter-island, and tribal evangelism.
