Over
ten-years ago, God gave Michael and Noli Casey the vision to open up a home for
the girls who have been abused or maltreated. Initially they rented a house and
five girls were able to be cared for. Today, YWAM-Nehemiah House Inc. has a
spacious facility suitable for twenty five girls plus live-in staff. Currently,
there are twenty-one girls living at YWAM NHI, most of who have been sexually abused.
They have come over Region-X and will stay roughly one-year. While the girls
are here they receive counseling education both formal & non-formal,
medical treatment, legal advocacy and moral support. They learn about
responsibility and are welcomed into a big “family”. YWAM NHI has just
celebrated its Annual family Day, in which the girls’ non-abusing family
members or friends were invited for a day filled with fun and activities.
Eleven of the girls’ families & friends were able to participate. .
