	Malicious Celtic bogey that lived in the chimneys of houses, keeping warm in the smoke of the fire. It often appeared as a wrinkled, shriveled old man, and it terrorized naughty children during the night, pinching them and creating nightmares. To prevent this from happening, salt should be placed around the hearth since the Bodach will not cross salt. Good children are never bothered by Bodachs.
