Biblical legend, the most beautiful angel of all, often associated with the
Morning Star (the planet Venus). He provided heaven with
music and was God's favorite. However, he one day sought
to rule all heaven and earth and sat upon God's throne,
daring to claim himself mightier than God. Subsequently,
he rallied a large group of angels and rebelled against
God, but he failed in doing so and was banished to burn
in the sulfurous pits of Hell forever. In the New
Testament, Lucifer is identified with Satan. |
