What is Grafting?

Grafting in plants are a part of one plant or tree on to another plant or tree, you join them together they will become ONE plant or tree, often in order to produce a new variety. Farmers often tried to improve their crop by grafting new branches on old branch and carefully tied on a new branch in such a way that it could grow there. The grafted branch draws it nutrient from the root of the origin tree in which it is grafted to.

Another meaning of grafting is a medical term "Skin/organ Grafting". It is a piece of healthy skin or bone, or a healthy organ, which is attached to a damaged part of your body by a medical surgeon in order to replace it. The theory of grafting is that both must be matching or else the body will reject it.

In the spiritual sense, we the non-Jews are grafted in to Israel and share the same spiritual inheritance that is ONE in the Messiah (we are taken out of Adam's race puts us into God's family) (read Eph 2:12-16)

"remember that you were at that time separate from Christ, excluded from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world." But now in Christ Jesus you who formerly were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ." For He Himself is our peace, who made both groups into one and broke down the barrier of the dividing wall," "Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace. And that he might reconcile both unto G_d in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:" (Eph 2:16 KJV)

the Gentiles should be fellowheirs (with the Jews), and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel: (3:6)

to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery (3:9)

_{Remember that in the past you (Non-Jews) were without the Messiah. You were not Citizens of Israel and you had no part in the agreement with the promise that God made to His people (Jews). You had no hope, and you did not know G_d. Yes at one time you were far away from God. But now in Messiah Yeshua you are brought near to God through the blood of Messiah's Death. Messiah made both Jews and Non-jews ONE PEOPLE. (One New Man) They were separated as if there were a wall between them. But the Messiah Yeshua broke down that wall of hate by giving his own body.}

Reproach - look glances, with despisefully, use remarks to show your criticizing on some one doing wrong

The Following scripture shows that both Jews and Non-Jews Believers unity:

I am like a gate for the sheep. vs 7

I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives life for the sheep.

I am the good shepherd. I know My sheep and my sheep know me. They know me just as the Father knows Me and I know the Father. And I give My life for the sheep. ( the ECHAD relationship - daily living)

I have OTHER SHEEP (Non-Jew) that do not belong to this sheep pen (G_D's family -Mishpochah )
I must bring them in too. (grafting or adoption share same inheritance)
Then there will ONE FLOCK and ONE SHEPHERD

My sheep listen to my voice. I know them and they follow me. I give them eternal life and they will never die. (by faith obedience)

John 11:52 .. He told ahead of time that Yeshua would die for the Jewish nation. He prophesied that Yeshua would die for God's Children scattered everywhere. He would die to bring them together and make them ONE.

"Yes, they were pleased to do so, and they are indebted to them. For if the Gentiles have shared in their spiritual things, they are indebted to minister to them also in material things." (Rom 15:27 NNAS)

God' is faithful people to Israel and show mercy to all people



11. I ask then, did they stumble that they might fall? May it never be! But by their fall salvation has come to the Goyim, to provoke them to jealousy.
12. Now if their fall is the riches of the world, and their loss the riches of the Goyim (non-jews); how much more their fullness?
    Non-Jews are saved by His grace and mercy that one should not boast

16. If the first fruit is holy, so is the lump. If the root is holy, so are the branches.
17. But if some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive, were grafted in among them, and became partaker with them of the root and of the richness of the olive tree;
18. don't boast over the branches. But if you boast, it is not you who support the root, but the root supports you.
19. You will say then, "Branches were broken off, that I might be grafted in."
20. True; by their unbelief they were broken off, and you stand by your faith. Don't be conceited, but fear;
21. for if God didn't spare the natural branches, neither will he spare you.
    All Israel will be saved
22. See then the goodness and severity of God. Toward those who fell, severity; but toward you, goodness, if you continue in his goodness; otherwise you also will be cut off.
23. They also, if they don't continue in their unbelief, will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again
24. For if you were cut out of that which is by nature a wild olive tree, and were grafted contrary to nature into a good olive tree, how much more will these, which are the natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree?
25. For I don't desire, brothers, to have you ignorant of this mystery, so that you won't be wise in your own conceits, that a partial hardening has happened to Yisra'el, until the fullness of the Goyim has come in,
26. and so all Yisra'el will be saved. Even as it is written,
    Israel is still God's Chosen people and God still Love his people

    "There will come out of Tziyon (Zion) the Deliverer,
    And he will turn away ungodliness from Ya`akov.(Jacob)

27. This is my covenant to them, When I will take away their sins."
28. Concerning the Good News, they are enemies for your sake. But concerning the election, they are beloved for the fathers' sake. (Abraham)
29. For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.

    "The Jews refuse to accept the Good news, so they are G_'d enemies. This has happened to help you non-jews (obtain Salvation) But the Jews are still G_d's Chosen people and G_d loves them very much. He love them because of the promise he made to their ancestors (Abraham). God never changes his mind about the people he calls and the things he gives them (Romans chapter 11 vs 28-29 New Century version give a clear understanding)

Who is considered a True Jew?

• A person is a true Jew only if he is a Jew inside (Inwardly). True circumcision is done in the heart by the Spirit (Ruah HaKodesh), not by the written law (Torah). Such a person gets praise from Yahweh (G_D), not from other people. (refer Romans 2:29)

• Then what advantage has the Jew? What is the value of being circumcised? Much in every way! In the first place, the Jews were entrusted with very words of God. If some of them were unfaithful, so what? Does their faithlessness cancel God's faithfulness? Heaven forbid! Else, how could God would be true even if everyone wre a liar! ( Romans 3: 1-4 Complete Jews Bible)

"For I am not ashamed of the gospel (euangelion (Gk.)) of the Messiah: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek." (Rom 1:16 )

The above verse is often read in most evangelical ministry as far as preach the gospel is concern. However I would like to bring your attention to this statement "to the Jew first" is often skip and often ignore. why is this so?

As a Christian myself I have this experience that an unbeliever came an ask this question "Is this gospel for the Jews first because she read "to the Jews first? I was caught unaware of this for fearing that she would reject the gospel and I just say no it is for everyone.

After many years later I came to understand what it mean "to the Jews first". The Jews are the Chosen People and there are the 10 tribes of Israel out there around the world who have not heard about their Messiah. It is God's desire to draw them back to Himself. Also there are many verse that support this statement "to the Jews first"; "salvation is of the Jews." and "But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel." (John 4:22 Mat.15:22-28; 10:5,6; Rom.1:16; Gal.2:7)

This statement are not only the biblical pattern for the biblical mandate, but is a prophetic ministry that promises a blessing. So a challenge to the Christian do not ignore or deny this command.

Description of the Graft-in sign

Did you know that the first church, the Church in Jerusalem were entirely Jewish?

• The Menorah (Candelabra) at the top reminds us of Yahweh's torah and His fulfillment of the promises to Abraham in calling out the People of Israel.
• The Magen David (Star, or shield, of David) in the middle recalls the Nation of Israel. And the establishment of the Davidic monarchy in the Land of Israel.
• The Fish at the bottom, long a symbol for Yeshua shows that the Non-Jews believer has been grafted into the Jewish root through faith in Yeshua, the Messiah of Israel, The fulfiller of the Torah and the rightful king in the line of David.

Note that the symbol is one, completely fused together. With this fusion the "Grafted-In" symbol demonstrates that Jew and Non-Jew believer are truly one in the Messiah, reconciled through His Atonement. In him the middle wall of partition has indeed been broken down.

In one of our studies in May 7-9 2001 Pastor Geogre Challenge us with these thoughts as Gentile believers:

• Why do Christians like you and I do not see the Jewish believers as our brethrens?

• Why is it that when we speak of the "Church" we are primarily thinking of the "Gentiles" Church, whereas Paul says that the Church is made up of "Jews and Gentiles"together?

• Did you know that the first church , the Church in Jerusalem was entirely Jewish?

• Is your Congregation have Gentiles but no Jews or have Jews but no Gentiles? If this is so why is this happen this way?
