SOUNDTRACK PERFORMANCE GROUP'S narrative series of CD's presents an overview of ancient cultures and attempts to bring them to life through their own words, their beliefs and their stories.
By allowing them to speak to us through their poetry and their myths, we hope to experience some of their wisdom and spirit.
By understanding their view of humanity's role in the world and in the cosmos, it is hoped we will achieve a greater awareness of our own world and our society's place in it.
The GODS, MYTHS AND POETRY SERIES includes myths and legends, history, art and poetry of each culture. Original music written specifically for each project runs in the background giving a more dramatic atmosphere

Amongst the History series of Narrative CDs are two that give brief, but enticing overviews in the areas of Art and Theatre. In both cases, the combination of music and voice gives the projects a storytelling quality that is particularly useful for teaching.
THE HISTORY OF ART:
This Narrative CD includes accompanying background music and spoken text that speaks of the history of art, from the time of cave and rock drawings, up to our modern era. Although only a general overview is possible in a 50 minute CD, care is taken to give a worldwide view. The aim is invite an appreciation of the many extraordinary forms through which artists have expressed their perceptions throughout the ages, so that listeners will be encouraged to continue to learn more and more about this exciting and evolving history.
THE HISTORY OF THEATRE:
A worldwide overview of the history of theatre, stretching from rituals of cave dwellers, dramatic representations of ancient cultures, and up to the times of the Italian Commedia dell’Arte, this CD combines music suggestive of many world cultures, along with spoken texts that will expand the understanding of and interest in dramatic representations throughout the ages.
