Welcome to
Zaxby Park Stud Our aim is to breed, raise and develope Paint and Quarter Horses who are competitive in all arena's.
Being a boutique stud, our horses are all Well bred, Well educated and most importantly Well adjusted.
I was given my very first horse, by Mr Glen Gough,of Proserpine in QLD. She was an old, extremly reliable, QH mare called Taffy. Sadly she passed away about 12 months later. My father then bought me my first Paint Horse, a mare called Flica.(pic middle/bottom right). This relationship lasted 14 years. She was an amazing horse... went anywhere, did anything I asked of her and did it all well. The obsession with horses was well and truely under way by the time we moved to my Step-Fathers property at Brandy Creek, when I was 11. My little herd quickly grew to 14, much to my Step-Fathers dismay.
I have worked in the equine industry in various capacities, on and off for the past 28 years. It is definately an industry you work in, for love and not money.

Along the way I have been influenced by some amazing horse men and women. None more so than Mrs Celia Zastro - a better horse women you will not find. Mr Glen Gough - a gentleman who needs no introduction from me. I will never forget the first time I saw him cutting on his stallion with no bridle and no saddle, just he and his horse. I can't forget Mr William(Bill) Camm and Blue the old flea bitten grey who taught me so much at such a young age.
This industry has done so much for me... It's kept me permenantly broke, constantly amazed, endlessly happy and at times totally disappointed... Kind of like a marraige. Hmmmm! Yep! I guess I can say I honestly love them and wouldn't have it any other way.
