Zebra Books

This is a non-exhaustive list of books and movies about zebras or with the word "zebra" in the title, mostly taken from a search through the Index New Zealand Bibliographic Database, ignoring zebra finches, zebra mussels, zebra crossings, and all books published by Zebra Books, the romance publishing house. Greedy zebra. Mwenye Hadithi [illustrated by Adrienne Kennaway]. Boston : Little, Brown, c1984.	Another cute kid's book, explaining how Zebra got his stripes. But I take issue with its characterisation of Zebra as greedy. <pout>

Ice Station Zebra. MacLean, Alistair, 1922- Garden City, N.Y., Doubleday, 1963.	Set in the Arctic, on a scientific station named surprisingly "Ice Station Zebra"; there has been a murder and Our Hero investigates. I forget everything else.   There's apparently been a 1968 movie and will be a remake soon.

Shootout at the Nokai Corral. Vajra, Rajnar [illustrated by Kelly Freas]. Analog, Februay 2003 (part one of four).	Okay, it doesn't have 'zebra' in the title, but it does have one in the cover art. The story is a Western set in an artificial society, and features a protagonist who rides a genetically modified zebra. Being busy, and it not being my type of story, I didn't get far enough to find out if this was actually related to plot or just for the coolness factor.
