anondorf has escaped from the Sacred Realm and plans to take revenge against Hyrule and those who had imprisoned him. Rauru, the sage of light, sends word of Ganondorf's escape to the Legendary Hero, Link.

Several days have passed since Termina's plight at the hands of Majora's mask, Link and Epona search on for Navi as they leave the forest that they had met the Skull Kid in.

Knowing that things are looking hopeless, Link and Epona turn home. Link's heart is low since he hasn't found his friend, Navi. As he and Epona turn toward Hyrule, two friends appear. Tatl and Tael stumble upon Link with sad news, the Skull Kid, the one that Link worked so hard to save, is gone. Something evil had happened to him, Tatl and Tael knew not what. The three then continue on towards Hyrule.

Back home, Zelda and Impa find some disturbing news in the form of a fairy, Navi. Searching for Link, Navi informs the Princess and her guardian that the stability of Hyrule rests in Link's hands once more. Immediately, Zelda rushes to her garden, her sanctuary, and calls for Link the best that she can.

As this happens, Ganondorf builds his dark army and plans for the destruction of the world that bore him and those who broke him. At his side are foes who have faced the young Link before, foes that Ganondorf has resurected to suit his evil needs.

At the edge of Lake Hylia, Link hears Zelda's telepathic call and rushes to the castle. There, he is reunited with his lost friend and informed of the situation.

Navi brings Rauru's news to Link and expresses the desperation that the sage expressed to her. She tells of an army, massive and unforgiving, that lies in wait in the Sacred Relm. She also tells of the perversion that the realm has taken and the Dark World it has become. Rauru was wise to warn them as Zelda is horrified at what has happened. Link, knowing what he must do, prepares to enter the Temple of Time once more and take the Master Sword in hand. Tatl and Tael stop him, they remember the mask that Link had recieved from the evil mask, the evil Majora.

Link holds the Fierce Deity's Mask in his hand and shakes his head, the mask's power is too great and the danger too great. He gives the mask to Impa and tellsher to lock it away in the temple for a time when a power that great is needed again. Impa agrees and listens to the lad, she believes ever word he says.

Hefting his guilded sword, Link stands at the castle gate not knowing what Ganondorf plans, he looks to his friends, Navi, Tatl, and Tael, and nods. The four venture through the gate and begin their hunt for Ganondorf.

Perched high above, Kaepora Gaebora watches the young lad and the three faries begin their quest. He nods to himself. "Once more they begin another legend, the good boy that challenges an evil man shall triumph once again..."

So what does all of this mean? Simple. Link comes back from the Land of Termina, is reunited with Navi, Ganondorf breaks open the seal with his huge spooky army and our heros need to save the grand land of Hyrule from the King of Evil's wrath. Boy.. I should've just said that to begin with :)
