A sword with your name on it. Your trusty weapon can be found on the beach south of Mabe Village. |
SWORD |
You can flip enemies and defend yourself against enemy attacks with this shield. Tarin gives it to you at the start of the game. |

Better than a normal shield. Can deflect beams. |
PEGASUS BOOTS |
This can be used to for many purposes, but primarily it can light torches and transform enemies. The witch will make you some if you give her a mushroom. You can also win some in the Trendy Shop. |
More powerful than a level 1 sword. You can get this from the Seashell house when you have collected 20 seashells. |
MAGIC POWDER |
These mushrooms can be made into magic powder. There is always one growing in the Mysterious Woods. |
BOOM- ERANG |
HOOKSHOT |
Use bombs to blow up cracked walls and defeat enemies. Buy them in the Mabe Village shop. Enemies also drop them and they are occasionally found in pots and bushes. |
BOMBS |
The Bow can shoot enemies at long distance and trigger switches. Buy the Bow and arrows in Mabe Village Shop. |
ROC'S FEATHER |
Use the feather to jump up and reach flying items or jump over holes and between platforms. Found in Tail Cave |
The power bracelet enables you to lift and throw pots and stones. Found in the Bottle Grotto |
POWER BRACELET |

MUSHROOM |
You can dash with the pegasus boots. You can also destroy weird objects and if used in conjuction with Roc's feather can allow you to jump over large holes. Found in the Key Cavern |
If you have the flippers you can swim in water. Also lets you dive under for a few seconds. Found in the Angler's Tunnel |
Use the hookshot to reach far off ledges pull out bridges and kill enemies. Found in the Catfish's Maw |

The Boomerang stuns enemies and can retrieve far off items. Halfway through the game blow up the cracked wall on the shore of the beach south of Mabe Village. A Monster there will trade it for one of your own items. You can trade it back anytime. |
