Key Cavern

Once you have the slime key. Unlock the gate which is north of Richard's Villa. Then go back around past the villa and up to a pond with some islands. Jump onto the islands with the feather, and go left to the entrance of the Key Cavern.

FROM THE START... Pick up a pot and throw it at the door to open it. UP 1: 2 Bob-ombs, 1 Stalfos, 1 Lil Red Blob: Kill all baddies to get a chest with a key in it. UP 1: 4 Green Blobs: Kill them all to open the doors. The chest has a green blob in it. UP 1: 2 Skeletons, 1 Lil Red Blob. UP 1: 4 Red Blobs. Go down the stairwell: 4 Green Blobs, 1 Lil Red Blob: Unlock the door on the left. LEFT 1: 2 Parrots, 2 Green Blobs: Throw bombs to kill the parrots. Destroy all baddies for the key (get it before it falls down the hole.) RIGHT 1: Unlock the door at the bottom. DOWN 1: 2 Green Blobs, 1 Stalfos, 1 Parrot. Kill all baddies for a key. UP 1: Unlock the door at the top. UP 1: 1 Skeleton, 1 Stalfos: Kill all baddies for a key. Hit the crystal with your sword. DOWN 1: Go back up the stairwell: Open the chest for a Stone Beak. DOWN 2, RIGHT 1: 2 Bats, 1 Stalfos. The blocks are now down, so you can open the chest for the map. LEFT 1, UP 2: Back down the stairwell,. Unlock the door on the right. RIGHT 1: 1 Bat, 1 Parrot: Go up the stairs: 5 Green Blobs: Kill them all to get a key. UP 1: 2 Stalfos LEFT 1: 1 Red Blob, 4 Lil Red Blobs: Kill all enemies to open the doors. LEFT 1: 2 Parrots, 2 Green Blobs: Kill all baddies to get a key. UP 1: 1 Skeleton, 2 Red Blobs: Kill all of them to make a chest appear on the ledge on the right. UP 1: 2 Bob-ombs, 1 Stalfos: Read the owl statue, go up the stairs at the bottom of the screen. DOWN 1: Open the chest for 50 rupees. DOWN 1, RIGHT 1: Push the block down and go through the door at the top of the room. UP 1: BIG BADDIE: Make sure you have plenty of bombs. Place a bomb right in front of the mouths of the black things and they will swallow them and burp. Make each one swallow 3 bombs to defeat them, and get a halfway marker. If you run out of bombs, escape the room by using the stairs at the bottom of the screen. RIGHT 1: Push the block 2 up from the second weird object. Then push the block above that up. Open the chest to get the Pegasus Boots. Use the boots to dash and destroy the weird objects, then push the block to exit the room. DOWN 1, UP 1, RIGHT 1: 2 Skeletons, 1 Green Blob: Read the Owl Statue. UP 1: 3 Bob-ombs, 1 Green Blob. The bob-ombs will chase you, whilst waiting to explode. Try to run around to escape the blast. Kill all baddies to open the doors. LEFT 1: 1 Stalfos, 3 Green Blobs: Open the chest for the compass. Lay a bomb on the left wall to open a door. LEFT 1: 3 Bob-ombs: Kill all enemies to get a key. RIGHT 2, DOWN 1: Lay a bomb in the middle of the bottom wall to open a doorway.(An arrow points from the owl statue.) DOWN 1: 2 Stalfos: Use the feather and boots together to jump over the large hole. Go up the stairs on the right. UP 1: Use the boots and feather together to jump the gap. Open the chest for the Nightmare Key. DOWN 1: Lay a bomb on the left wall to open a doorway. LEFT 2, UP 1: Use the halfway marker to go back to the start of the key cavern. RIGHT 1: 1 Eyeball: Dash along the ledge and kill the eyeball, make sure you have both the boots and the sword equipped. Open the chest for a key. LEFT 1: Use the halfway marker again. DOWN 1: Unlock the block UP 1: Unlock the block RIGHT 1: Unlock the block DOWN 1: Unlock the block and go down the stairwell into an underground cavern. ash with the boots at the big thwomp rock to make it fall. Drop off the ledge onto it and go right. Now use the boots and feather to jump onto the ladder over the spikes. Kill or avoid the fireplant and go down the stairs on the right. You will emerge in a rom with: 3 Parrots: Use the boots to destroy th weird objects and enemies. Kill all enemies to open the door on the left. LEFT 1: 5 Bats: Kill all baddies to get a key. Go up through the door at the top of the screen to meet the boss.

BIG SLIME: Dash at the wall to make him come down. Try to avoid the falling blobs. Dash repeated and quickly at the middle of the eyeball. This will split it in half. Slash both eyeballs with your sword. Each hit makes them fly up int he air. When they land they stun you, make sure you have some Crazy Tracy Potion. Hit each eyeball 3 times to kill them. Pick up the heart and go through the door at the top to get the Sea Lily's Bell.
