Prologue: The Double Cross Uprising

In the world called Azurea, lies the continent of Mithras. This continent was occupied by 3 kingdoms; The Kingdom of Evalos, the Vallax republic, and the Desert kingdom of Khamorra. the three kingdoms peacefully coexist, until a man named Otros Gustrack Olbaid became the Military Advisor of Evalos.

Otros made plans in expanding the Kingdom of Evalos, but the King of Evalos, King Lionard Pledgebow Callanos, dismissed it. Obsessed with his plan, Otros began organizing the king's assasination.

On his way to a diplomatic meeting with the Vallax Republic, King Callanos was assasinated and his son Prince Jarod Albreed Callanos, was crowned the next king. Believing the Vallax republic to be the culprit of his father's death, Jarod approved Otros's plans.

And so the war between the Kingdom of Evalos and the Vallax Republic began. Because of Otros's unmatched military Strategies, and the might of Jarod's best friend, Kronos Gotreid Cross, the Vallax Republic lost its provinces one by one, and Evalos began to expand.

But the war has its price, and one of them, the death of General Kronos Cross's wife, Captain Silene Geyser Cross. Her death fueled Kronos's rage against the Vallax Republic even more.

Fearing the loss of her family's kingdom, Princess Elisabeth Mannacreed travelled to the Kingdom of Evalos to plead for a peace treaty. She was captured, and was sent for execution, but when King Jarod saw her, he fell in love with her. The king set her free and agreed to a peace treaty.

Many were outraged by the King's decision, but they did not question him. Soon King Jarod and Princess Elisabeth were married, and peace between the two kingdoms began. Otros was very unhappy with the king's decision, and began making plans again in overthrowing the King's throne.

After a year, king and queen Callanos bore a son, named Jowston MannaCreed Callanos. Because of the child, peaceful relations between the Kingdom of Evalos and the Vallax Republic began to strengthen. By this time Otros Olbaid was already forming a secret army of mercenaries and unloyal soldiers to overthrow the current king. Soon, the king's best friend , Kronos Cross, joined Otros's plan.

At the 1st day of Eskobach, 1080, Otros began dispatching his secret army disguised as Vallax Spear Guardians, to attack key provinces in Evalos. Fearing that his kingdom was under attack, and with the advice of the traitor Otros Olbaid, the king started to deploy his armies to protect his kingdom, and left his castle lightly guarded. Soon assassins began infiltrating the king's castle.

One by one, key Evalos officials were killed by the assassins, and soon Queen Elisabeth Callanos fell in the hands of an assasin named Vahnstryke Lang. With her last breath, she struggled to protect her baby, and pleaded for her child's life. Bothered by his conscience, the assassin took the baby and escaped the castle.

King Jarod struggled to protect his castle. Soon, he came face to face with his best friend, Kronos Cross. Kronos blamed Jarod and accused him of being a traitor to his Kingdom. After a long furious battle, Jarod lost and was killed.

With the king dead, Otros ordered his secret army to retreat. After the attack, the people of Evalos were outraged and demanded revenge. With no successor to the king's throne, Otros Olbaid was to be crowned the next king of Evalos, but he refused and gave the title to Kronos Cross.

Blaming the Vallax Republic for killing his wife and forcing him to kill his best friend, King Kronos Cross focused his priorities on the war. Otros Olbaid was satisfied with the outcome of his plans.
