How do I get the Startmenu task bar back down to the bottom.  Solution:  Click the left mouse button on the time and hold it.  Now move your mouse pointer to any of the four corners and let go.  If you want the bottom just move pointer to bottom and let go.  You should see an outline of the start menu when you do this.
