49.2fd3 service error:  HP has identified an issue with the Intermediate Transfer Belt (ITB) assembly, which causes the printer to continuously print blank pages. The blank pages occur when either a print job is sent to the printer, or when an internal print page (such as a Configuration Page) is requested. The blank pages may be followed by a 49 error, often a 49.2FD3 on the Color LaserJet 4550 and 49.04D4 on the Color LaserJet 4500. This issue is generally seen with ITB's that are near their end-of –life or have been installed in the printer for an extended period of time. Blank pages can have many different causes. Before replacing the ITB, make sure the symptoms match the following scenario. 1. The blank pages occur when a Configuration Page is requested. Verifying with a Configuration Page will eliminate causes such as networks, software, and documents. 2. The blank pages cannot be stopped without opening a door (releasing an interlock) or power cycling the printer. When the blank pages occur, if any door on the printer is opened, paper jam cleared (if necessary), and all doors are closed again, the print job will begin to print correctly. If the following symptoms occur, replace the ITB with one from the following lot codes. EHC5001064 and later To identify the ITB assembly lot code: 1. Open the ITB drawer (Middle Front Drawer). 2. Locate the white label on the top of the ITB assembly. The label contains the lot code as well as a bar code. Replace the ITB Assembly

41.2 Errors : ISSUE: The printer's control panel displays a 41.2 error message. CAUSE: During the image writing process, a laser beam sweeps across the image drum as it generates the page image. At the end of each sweep, the beam strikes the beam detect lens, generating the Beam Detect Signal (BD). The BD signal is sent to the DC Controller, where it is converted to an electrical signal used to synchronize the output of data (VDO) for one sweep (scan line) and to diagnose problems with the laser diode or scanner motor.
