Saturday Night's Main Event - May 27th 1989. Zeus was first seen on WWF TV as a wrestler! The immortal Hulk Hogan was on his was to the ring to face the Big Bossman
in a cage match. Bossman was already in the cage but as Hogan turned to face the cage he saw the formidable figure of Zeus blocking his way! Zeus had recently
been on the big screen with Hogan where he had played his nemesis in the Hollywood blockbuster No Hold Barred - now he was here in the WWF to take on Hogan in real life!
Annoyed that Hogan had higher billing on the film than himself, Zeus shouted "Move me" and then proceeded to drop Hogan with a few thunderous strikes. He then left Hogan lying on the floor - there
was no doubt however, that he would be back - revenge for Zeus not over yet!
Superstars of Wrestling - July 8th 1989. On this show "Macho Man" Randy Savage and "Sensational" Sherri were guests on the Brother Love Show. They were there to lay
out a challenge to Hulk Hogan and Brutus Beefcake. Savage's words to Hogan and Beefcake were: "Any time, any place - make a date and don't be late!". Savage then
introduced Zeus as 'The Human Wrecking Machine' and his words for Hogan and Beefcake were "Hulk Hogan, Beefcake Barber - we are going to destroy you".
Superstars of Wrestling - July 15th 1989. Hulk Hogan and Brutus Beefcake accept the challenge from Randy Savage and Zeus, and they set the date for the match - Summerslam!!
Saturday Night's Main Event - July 29th 1989. In a match between Beefcake and Savage it looks like Beefacke is going to win until Zeus interferes and traps Brutus in a mighty bearhug.
Hogan runs in and pounds on Zeus who releases Brutus and then puts Hogan in the Bearhug! He then releases Hogan and puts Brutus in the Bearhug again! Before the devastation can go any further,
Hogan smashes the back of Zeus with a chair to which the Human Wrecking Machine turns around and just smiles at Hogan! In the words of commentator Vince McMahon "He's impervious to pain!".
Zeus and Savage walk off with Hogan and Beefcake in the ring holding chairs and clearly shaken up from the whole experience.
Summerslam - August 28th 1989. Finally the day is here, the day when Zeus can get his revenge on Hogan and meet him in the ring, as he along with his partner, Randy Savage, face off against
Hulk Hogan and Brutus Beefcake in the main event of Summerslam. In the beginning Zeus dominated both Hogan and Beefcake but luckily for them Savage then fought for a lot of the match. However,
around the 13 minute mark with Beefcake in a mighty Zeus bearhug, Sherri tried to hand her purse to Savage to use as a weapon. Thanks to Miss Elizabeth, who tripped Sherri up, she dropped the
purse and Hogan picked it up. He then proceeded to hit Zeus with it - from the way Zeus' eyes rolled and him dropping to one knee it was obvious that the purse was loaded! Hogan then bodyslammed
Zeus and one legdrop later and Hogan had won the match for his team - Zeus and Savage had been cheated out of a win thanks to the use of an illegal foreign object by Hogan.
Saturday Night's Main Event - September 21st 1989. Prior to a match between Hogan and DiBiase, Mean Gene interviews Dibiase while Zeus stood looking intimidating in the background, acting as Ted's second. After the match starts, Hogan is thrown into the ropes and Zeus starts choking him out. This happens a few times until Jake Roberts comes out to counteract all this Zeus treachery and stand in Hogan's corner. However, after a short while Virgil comes out of the back and steals the bag containing Damien which lead to Jake returning to the locker room after him. The match eventually ends when Zeus enters the ring and the ref calls for the DQ. Zeus holds Hogan in a reverse chinlock and jerks his head, as if snapping his neck, and Hogan collapses to the mat. The beatdown continues until Jake returns and throws Damien in the ring, causing Zeus and Dibiase to flee the area - not before Zeus has a few choice roars for Hogan.
Survivor Series 1989 - November 23rd 1989. Zeus was a member of the Million Dollar Team (with Ted DiBiase, Barbarian and Warlord) against the Hulksters (Hulk Hogan, Jake Roberts, Ax and Smash).
The win was not on Zeus' mind though - as soon as got in the ring he choked out Hogan and would not let him go until the referee disqualified him. This was not the end though - after Hogan had won the
match for the Hulksters and was in the back - Zeus attacked, and again choked Hogan down. It took many wrestlers and officials quite a few minutes to get Zeus off of Hogan.
No Holds Barred - "The Match/The Movie" - December 27th 1989. For a special PPV event people had the opportunity to watch the film followed by the match which pitted Zeus and Randy Savage in
a cage match against mortal enemies Hulk Hogan and Brutus Beefcake. As with the Summerslam match Zeus was not in much of the action until the end when Hogan and Zeus were left alone in the ring -
knowing he could not beat Hogan fairly, he smashed Zeus' head against the cage a few times and then legdropped and pinned him - another tainted victory for the Hulkster.
