CAN'T SPELL DUKE WITHOUT K

Coach Mike Krzyzewski is Duke, and Duke is nothing without Krzyzewski. Duke wasn't even a basketball school before him. Coach K made the right decision when he decided to turn down Los Angeles Lakers' job offer and remained as coach at Duke. He has "College Coach" written all over him. Mike Montgomery, formerly coach of Stanford, became coach of Golden State Warrior earlier. Montgomery is also a college coach. But I think he is a better NBA coach than Krzyzewski. I don't think anyone in the NBA would listen to what Coach K has to say. He pondered a bit over this offer, simply because he thinks that he might deserve a try in the NBA, and the Lakers offer him a truckload of money. However, Coach K is a college coach. His Duke players were great college players, but somehow failing to perform well in the NBA. Names such as Christian Laettner, Grant Hill (unfortunate), Danny Ferry, Shane Battier, and Jay the Limb Williams (broke his leg playing with his motorbike). They either suck, or lack the luck. All these reasons told Coach K to stay in Duke, where his legacy lies.

TRULY UNEXPECTED

Maria Sharapova, a name no one could be able to recognize, until a week ago when she won the Wimbledon at the age of 17. She said in the press conference that she didn't expect to win. I'm sure a lot of first time gland slam champions would say this. I don't normally believe it. This time is different. I do believe that Sharapova didn't expect this, at all. The group of Beautiful Russian Teenage Girls were the next big thing for years. Now they are the big thing. After Anastasia Myskina beating Elena Dementieva in the all Russian French Open final, the Russian teenage girls won the second slam in a roll. Sharapova and fellow Russian may dominate women tennis for a year or two. But modern women tennis players have short careers. Still remember Martina Hingis? The duo Belgian Justin Henin-Hardene and Kim Clijster are withdrawing from competition because of injuries. The Williams sisters are also showing signs of decline. They can retire anywhere around 25.

MILLIONAIRES AT FEUD & SHAQ TRADE TO HEAT

They denied years ago about the speculation that they didn't like each other. Now Kobe and Shaq have to honestly admit that it was true. When Lakers GM Mitch Kupchak announced his plan to keep Kobe, Shaq immediately asked for a trade. They didn't like each other, I knew it. They are both arrogant. But I think that it started from Kobe. I'm a Lakers hater, but I admit that I hate Kobe more than Shaq. Kobe is the guy who started to have issues against Shaq. He thinks he is the best player in the NBA, and wants to prove this. He will likely to stay in LA with Shaq out, and he hated former Coach Phil Jackson leaving, he has the entire Lakers team for himself. Perfect Planning, Kobe.

How about the Heat-Lakers trade? Heat is giving up too much to acquire Shaq. Shaq is on his decline. He might be still the most dominant center in the NBA. But, he is way past his prime. He can still score because of his size advantage, however his rebounding and defense aren't as good as they used to be. He is 32, his legs (or toe) can't hold up this 320 pounds body any longer.
