TWINNING AND CO-OPERATION AGREEMENT
Today, 23th of May 2003, in the Conference Room of Zimnicea City Hall (Romania), the Mayor Petre Parvu, representing Zimnicea Town, and Mayor Francesco Argeri, representing Pieve Emanuele town (Milano, Italy ), agreed to confirm, by signing this present twinning agreement, the co-operation between the two towns.
By twinning, Pieve Emanuele and Zimnicea takes responsibility to fulfil the objectives, which are the spirit and scope of the European Union, supported by voluntary participation of their citizens.
In order to know each other, to share experience and to co-operate for the common wealth, Pieve Emanuele and Zimnicea assume the involve,ent of their communities, of the enterprises in their territories, the involvement of the schools and of any other form of social life. All these are based on the Friendship Agreement signed in Pieve Emanuele, on 23th of November 2002.
Pieve Emanuele and Zimnicea, by signing this agreement, and of its tehnical annex, confirm the own participation of this project regarding an Europ more and more present in the citizens' mind, an Europe which has to develop and grow in peace and understanding between people.
This agreement was written in Italian, Romanian and English and will be evaluated by the European Union regarding the competency.
