Orchidaceae
The orchid family (Orchidaceae) consists of more than 800 genera, and probably as many as 40,000 species. They can be found in all parts of the world, except the coldest and driest regions.
Although highly varied in vegetative structure, almost all orchid flowers have certain features, which readily allows us to identify them as orchids.
