MISSION PROJECTS FOR 2009

July & August’s collections, along with VBS missions, will support the LCMS World Relief Wittenberg Project (a ministry center w/a Lutheran bookstore, welcome center, human care office and chapel)in Germany.

Sept.-Oct. missions will be supporting the Woodburn Christian Children’s Home.





Sunday School Scoop for September

Rally Day 2009: September is Christian Education Month for the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. The theme is “God Loves Us,” and we will be celebrating a special worship service on Rally Day, Sept. 13th. The service will have special music, and the Sunday School Staff will be installed into their positions. A potluck luncheon will follow in the gym for family and friends of Zion. The Board of Education will supply the meat, drinks and table service. Please bring a family-sized side dish to share.

A mid-week time of worship and Bible study will begin September 16th on Wednesdays at 7:00 pm. Refer to Pastor’s article in this Zealant for details.

Classes meet in the sanctuary at 9:00-9:10 a.m. for opening then children go to their classes. Adults meet in the gym for a study on the readings of that Sunday. Guests and friends are always welcome!
