The poem below is mostly from an e-mail sent me...and although it was not in poetic form...it still was a poem to me, so much heart and soul therein.  So, in reading the letter to me....I saw the poem and took the liberty of making it so, adding a little here and there.

A New Journey

I was driving in my car
I really did not get very far
and was thinking in many ways
about and during these trying days
How lucky we are,
to have each other
to lean on...
to feel that we belong
to this spectrum of light
that we travel upon
Yet the beginning lies, just out of sight
We know we are reaching
wanting to give to others
to give to each other, beseeching
let us not forget about ourselves

What we share is a great venture
a long and lasting friendship
a rich and meaningful adventure
to last an eternity,
we know we are meant
to be a part of each others life
even this very moment

When I think about you
My heart smiles at you

When I think about you
My heart fills up with love
as I head home like the dove
to your warm embrace

When I think about sharing
these days and months ahead
our goals, our tears
We will not be the same,
having fled a relationship

that was no less then dead

You have touched me

in unique ways

I can already feel an awakening
On this warm summer day
I can feel it stirring
so deep inside of me

You have shown me
an affection and a caring
that I never thought possible
to have that in my life,
I will be giving
Whatever is in my arms, to you
without any miss-giving

this is true

Lets not label
this relationship as short or long
but take it where it will
We are both growing,

this is not so wrong
in these difficult times, I still
love you babe

When you are lonely
I will be by your side
When your are longing
to you, I can not hide

When the world

feels like it's closing
in and upon you
I want to be there, to blow
away that dark cloud
As the sun reveals its light
To let you know
you do not have to travel
this journey all alone
...Oh! this journey all alone
