A Pebble On A
Trail
As I walk along,
as I step alone.
Feeling my way
sometimes a rainy day.
A drip here, a drip there
Kicking a pebble,
my heart does tremble.
A deer is plucking at a flower petal;
looking down, will it settle?
She loves me not, She loves me near,
Pulling on a branch
The wind swept...on a chance
As these leaves snap.
floating along, the thunder claps;
who is making this choice?
Will it always be
where I can't see you,
nor you see me?
Oh...what can I do,
as this seems to wax and wane?
Like the ocean tide;
it is hard...it is pain.
Over this vast continent
will there ever be contentment?
In life is there anything to spare?
