Esei[Esei the main page] [The mother tongue] [Esei phonology] [Esei vocabulary] [Esei grammar] [Esei script] The Esei phonologyPhonenmesI have never liked baroque and really soundful systems so I picked out those phonemes that are easy for me, and hopefully you, to pronounce. I have experienced that strange sound systems are difficult to understand and I haven't been able to make the grammar because I had to check every minute: "How is that letter pronounced?" Consonants
Nasal velar sound should look like ng-sound, you know. If you see a question mark, you know what it should look like. The possible double consonants are: pp tt Vowelsi - - - - - u I think that the possible diphtongs are ai, ei, au, ao, eo, ae, but these aren't the ultimate decisions. Degree variationFor all you English speakers these are really dificult. It's just that this gives a lot of variation and dynamisn to my language. The strong degree appears in the basic form and when I add suffixes, the basic form changes it's look described in the table.
Phonological constraintsI don't like making these things up, they will be chasing me forever and I have check: "Is that word correctly constructed?" Anyway I have something. The basic syllabe is CV. Some words can also end in CVV and for ŋk sound I have to use the CVC structure. I think that these are the main points. By the way the words should sound like salao, not like strkentswaphaz :-) A word can only end in a, e, i, o, u, o, s or n. I don't like words that end in consonants à la tahak. I decided that different word classes have different endings. I'll write about it later [Esei the main page] [The mother tongue] [Esei phonology] [Esei vocabulary] [Esei grammar] [Esei script] |
