"Shunning Mondays, his factory job and his family, Vincent (Bidou) leaves his dour and listless French village, and, on a whim, boards a train for Venice. Having escaped the monotony of working life, Vincent has a wonderful day in which he encounters a runaway crocodile, transvestite cloakroom attendants, naked nuns, and a dubious nobleman. This gentle and delightful film from the Paris-based Georgian is very much in the tradition of Jacques Tati. Effortlessly unfolding a series of surreal, farcical moments while laughing at and with life, Iosseliani gives us a comedy about smoking, hope, leaving, and not being missed."

This time, Otar brings us a Monday morning. It's a story about setting free from the rountine route. A Monday morning can be another start of the never ending working life. The notice of No Smoking outside the factory is a cliche. Vincent, the master of the family, left from his home without any clue to Venice, and "experienced" a new life in an unfamiliar place. Viewing from the roof top in Venice, this is the anthem of freedom of live. The film carries a stylish city life in France, and the complex structure of having numerous characters in the film is still a trademark of Otar for his vision of human life. (7.5/10)
