Background:
Joraan grew up living with his parents as do most normal children, but he spent most of his time with his uncle. When he was very young, his uncle began to teach him somespecial games using something he called "the Force". Joraan was to never tell anyone about these games. As Joraan grew older, the games became real training in the Force. These were the happiest times of Joraan's life. Not long into Joraan's real training, his uncle began acting strange - nervous even. A few days later, he told Joraan ifanything should happen to him, Joraan should look in a hidden compartment in his room. That was the last time Joraan saw his uncle. In the hidden compartmentwas the lightsaber Joraan practiced with and a note. The note read "Joraan, if you are reading this, something has happened to me. Most likely the Empire has finally caught up with me. Your training is nowhere near complete, and it is more dangerous for you to use your abilities now than not. You must seek further knowledge if you are to ever help defeat the Empire. Alas, I cannot help you in this search, for all the Jedi I knoware gone. I cannot believe that all Jedi have been destroyed, so seek one out who can teach you, but be cautious. Remember what I have taught you, and beware the Dark Side.May the Force be with you." Upon returning home, his parents knew something hadchanged, that Joraan would be leaving. He gathered up a few things, said a tearful goodbye, and left seeking his destiny. Joraan met with a small Rebel group, and was trained as a pilot. He has flown for the Rebellion for a short time, but was unable to find any teachers of the Force. He transferred to the "Far Orbit" in hopes that thewandering ways of such a vessel would help him find a teacher.
Notes:Joraan:
Joraan is still young and idealistic. He is enthusiastic in his effortswith the Rebellion. His moods are usually cheerful, and he can be talkative, especially askingquestions of those more travelled than he.The Force: Joraan was taught a few powers by his uncle, but he is not yet very good at using them. He only uses them when in dire need, and as inconspicuously as possible. The lightsaber is stored in a compartment in his R2 unit, M2-P6 "Imp", and is only brought out when Joraan is practicing his meagre skills. Only when Joraan gets muchbetter will he begin using Jedi powers openly.M2-P6 "Imp" A standard R2 unit, Imp is a friend as well as a droid, especially among the types to be encountered on the "Far Orbit", as some of them have a low opinion of young idealistic Joraan. He usually stays in Joraan's quarters unless he is needed for repairs or when they are flying.
