| Russia 1st Definitive Series
This first definitive
issue of the Russia Federal appeared on mail from Febrary 1992, just one
month after the first stamp issue of Russia Federal, and in service until
1995. This period is the nascent span of the new Federal, seeing a tough
time with unstable politics, collapsing economy and depressed peoples.
The face values, began from the 10K, that is 0.1 rub in the begining and
rised to 5000 rub in the end, reflected the great inflation during these
years. Almost all stamps in this series available in two kinds of paper,
coated and ordinary, expect for one, the 55k, printed only on coated paper.
Six stamps among them have the third version, on ordinary paper with smaller
perforation.
