Oldenfeld Harvest Primero Rapier Lyst
The Oldenfeld Harvest Rapier Lyst is inspired by the card game Italian Primero and the special attributes of a Court Jester. To be the successful champion of this lyst, skill at arms, wit in building a hand of Primero, the heart of an entertainer and good luck (or fate) may in some part play a role.
The Lyst will consist of three rounds: a preliminary round; a semifinal round; and a championship round. The preliminary round will be in a modified bear pit format with fighting styles inspired by the luck of the draw from a Primero card deck. Also during the preliminary round, the populace and participants are encouraged to vote on the fighter they find most entertaining. At the end of the preliminary round, the most favored entertainer will receive prizes of a very special nature. The semifinal round will see the players with the four best Primero hands fight it out with their cards as style inspiration in round robin engagements. Finally, the championship round will see the two survivors from the semifinal round match their skills with fate’s fickle luck in styles drawn at random from the last cards they have.
