HISTORY OF THE ZONTA CLUB OF LAS PIÑAS

 
The 41st Zonta club in the Philippines is the Zonta Club of Las Piñas.  Chartered by its mother club, the ZONTA CLUB OF MUNTINLUPA, LAS PIÑAS AND ENVIRONS on  December 1, 1995 with 1519 as its charter number, the club had 32 as an initial number of members.  Since its chartering, the Zonta Club of Muntinlupa dropped from its name the word “Las Piñas” In the span of only 2 years, the club, through then Congressman now Senator Manuel B. Villar, Jr. and Las Piñas City Mayor Vergel A. Aguilar was awarded a Zonta Building –“The Zonta Livelihood Center.”  It was constructed in 1997 at Malunggay St. Purok 4, Barangay CAA, Las Piñas City.  It is in the building where livelihood seminars and other Zonta Club activities and projects are being held.
