Me known as Jithesh officially, Jithu by all dear to me and Jitz by the web. I was born on the 12th of January 1979 at Kozhikode (formally known as Calicut) which is in Kerala. I am the first of the three children with two sisters. The eldest of the two, Uma is pursuing her Masters degree in Industrial Fisheries and Poornima the younger one is doin her schooling.

My Dad M Krishnanunni works in the National Bank of Oman and he has been there for around more than 26 years. My mom Mrs Sobitha Krishnanuni is a home maker.

My schooling was basically done shuttling between Oman and India. I started of by doing my kindergarden in Oman. I was really a good kid in the class who does his home work and finishes the lunch box. Then I came back to India and stayed in Thrissur. That's where my ancestoral home is. I studied till 4th Std in V C Kumaran Memorial English Medium School. I used to be the third best in the class in studies. The next schooling was done in Oman in school known as Indian School of Muscat. Probably one of the best schools I have studied in. Schooling was fun there. And also made friends with many of whom I still have contact with. I was really a shy guy in the school.

In 1992, I came back to India and did my High Schooling in M.E.S Raja Residential School. It was probably the time I got moulded into what I am. The school provided me with all kind of experiences which taught me many things. I passed out from this school and joined the only boys college in Kozhikode St. Joseph's College, Devagiri. I studied in Devagiri for 5 years completing my Pre Degree and Degree. Other activities in college included eating bad cafeteria food, getting in trouble, bunking classes and going to movies or to some far places, bikes and of course girls. There are many other stories that I'll save for another time.

Completely freaked out when studying Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Application(PGDCA) in Institute of Human Resource Development . This is one place I had fun and also got good marks to boast about. I got introduced to Linux when I was studying for PGDCA. More about it in the Linux section

The day I got introduced to Computers, that was in '95 I suppose, I had decided to make a career out of it. But the path of education and my career plans didn't meet at all. But finally it did meet when I joined for the PG.

I had started working after a few months I passed out of my college. Over there I used to do a little bit of programming using Visual Basic. Then came the need to shift to free softwares due to several reasons. Linux came as a savior at that time and helped me a lot. Then shifted job to another and then finally landed in Bangalore for my current job.
