This is the pics of the first moose I tag. I've applied for the last 13 years and this is what I got for the wait. Some say its a 16 point and some 18, two of the points are short but either way, its was big. 730 lbs of meat and an estimated kicking weight of 1000lbs.... We got this moose at 8am on the first morning and Dan took the 230 yard shot. One bullet and fifty yard stumble, the trophy moose was down. The last pic, is Aidan my little boy, the futur hunter/offroader. ![]() ![]() ![]() THis is the story of the Zukimoo. The Zukimoo had lost piston #3 about 2 years ago. All the while I was driving a pretty stock beat-up zuki. Not wanting to put any old motor in I went searching for something that would slide in and give me some good power. Like all conversions, we tend to run into some snags. The motor is in the zukimoo, I'm working on a custom header and trying to find a ECU. Except for that, she's all done.... 1.3 Suzuki Swift Japanese engine. Hope to see you on the trail! |

This is the loading ramp at the Caledonia SkiDoo club. Hard to see in this pic but the Zukimoo's back tire is at the end of the ramp. Great improvement over the shot on the left. | ![]() |
This is a pic before I had most of the mods done and I THOUGHT my Samurai had a comfy ride....with some flex, NOT |

This is the Zukimoo with the half top on a mud run. There is actually more mud on the inside of the Zukimoo than there is on the outside.....I'm writing this in Dec and there is still mud on the inside......time to clean it. | ![]() |
Take a look at the front bumper. Notice the ends cut off so I could run the tires and the missing light cover. "Oh yeh occifer that there light cover wus' dere when I com out to de woods taday..."The dings on the front bumper and the dent in the fender flare are from Pecks Creek...and I thought i had a 4X4... |

This is the way to really Cow-Moo-flage your vehicle...Some people probably still think I'm crazy but who cares...I'm just having fun. I'm not in this sport to get approuval from people , this makes people laugh...... | ![]() |
Here I am in stock mode with my old Jeep (oh there's that word again) Service tires. Looks like a small hill but I've seen lots of people shy away from even trying this hill.....the pictures never show the real angle. This hill has a big dip that makes you loose tractionright at the top.....FUN! |

This is my story about how I got in offroading and how I built my ZukiMoo! I still remember saying to my wife, "I promise never to take it off roading, I'll us the old one off road...." That's one promise I just couldn't keep.... History: This is how I started, I bought my first Samurai five years ago a totally stock 88.5. I had worn out snow tires on the thing and it went everywhere(I thought so at the time). I got it stuck a couple of times... but never too serious. The first real off road run was at Martin Head, I was following Edgar with his Samurai when he got stuck in the small pond or something....here I was right behind him with no where to go. I was sitting in water (in the Samurai) so I pushed Michel out the passenger door and he went tie the strap for someone to pull me out....I was hooked. The only thing I didn't like was replacing the starter, altenator, all the diff oil and a few other things. A year later I decided to try to fix the body, it stayed parked for about 7 months in that time I bought my 92 Samurai( this was supposed to be my road vehicle while my 88.5 was supposed to be my beater). Then my father bought my old 88.5, now that left me with only the 92 so I slowly conned my wife into some major mods and some serious mudding...... Specs and mods: 1992 Samurai, Spring over, 2"shakel lift, 31X12.5X15 Baby Boggers, costume front and rear bumpers with 16000lbs shackles on rear bumper, 8274 Warn winch mounted on removable cradle, costum snorkel, removable doors, Red Green window tint(Duct tape stupid).... |
