Zeyad (Z)
Alhusaini, Director
Z is an Award Winning Director, both in the U.S. and
Internationally, with such acclaimed laurels as the 2000 New
York International Independent Film Festival Audience Award,
the 1998 Seguaro Film Festival Audience Award, and the 1999
Egypt Film & TV Festival Best Music Video Award. Z, who has
lived in Kuwait, Spain and the U.S., served in the Gulf War at
the age of seventeen and thereafter received a scholarship to
study film at UC Berkeley. After transferring to Arizona
State and graduating Magna Cum Laude, he worked for NBC, PBS
and New Horizon, including shows such as Super Bowl XXX and
the Today Show. Z graduated with Honors from Columbia
University Film School with an MFA in 2002 and is currently
pursuing his Ph.D in Film. His new film Just Like You Imagined
is an Action Sci-Fi short, which is part of a comic book world
feature that he is developing. Z, who is considered an "A"
Director in the Middle East, has worked with some of the
biggest film companies and producers in the region. He also
taught and still is a faculty member at Kuwait University. In
addition to his film and music video expertise, Z is also a
martial arts expert, and holds several black belts in various
arts. |
