A Brief History I started crossdressing in the early to mid 1980's. I'm single and have never been married. Have purged a few times since and now have decided to purge no more. Honestly girls, purging was a mistake each time for me. Chances are that you will come back to crossdressing, so save yourself the time and money. Just pack it away for a while. Until recently (August 1998) I have been in the closet, but now seek friendships with other crossdressers and other transgendered people. The internet has opened up a vast amount of contacts in the transgendered world and I will share my findings with you. For some detailed stories on my adventures see the Updates page for the newest and writings page for previous stories. We all seem to go through the same things. No reason to repeat the mistakes. I don't believe I was born a crossdresser, nor did I have any desire to wear woman's clothing at an early age. I am comfortable with both the male and female aspects of my personality. I love women very much. My best friends have been women for many years annd still are today. With the inclusion of my transgendered girl friends I'm just loaded with feminine friends and blissfully so. Guys, don't get me wrong here. I like kind and honest men as friends too, but my girl friends are my best friends. My best lady friend, Sherry, and I go out locally on shopping trips, to nightclubs and restaurants as girlfriends or as man and woman. I also don't believe that there is a single right way to be a woman. All must choose from within. Some women like and are proficient at sports or auto repair, but that does not make them any less feminine. Be true to your spirit. At this moment I don't have any inclination toward transitioning, but would like to be able to live full time as Bobbi. 1998 was the year of my coming out with the help of my dear friend Beverly. She gently guided me to join Kappa Beta, an organization for heterosexual crossdressers and their partners, supporting members from the Carolinas and Virginia. See my first time letter on my writings page and on my updates page you can see happenings in Kappa Beta, including some stories of my encounters at the meetings. In October 1998 I became a Tri-Ess member and found a new Cd friend, Robyn. Robyn invited me to another Carolina support group, Tau Gamma (Now called STARR). Needless to say I went and am now a member of this grand group of ladies. 1999 has proven to be even better. Started the year by getting my ears pierced. In February I had my first professional makeover (story 0n Writings page) and constructed this site. In May I participated in forming the by-laws for my newest Tri-Ess group, Rho Tau. Also stared electrolysis in May. I've met more wonderful friends there. In August I celebrated my 1 year anniversary with Kappa Beta. Seems like things have just taken off since. More and more girls are contacting me everyday. I truly love our community. Events such as Southern Comfort and Holiday En Femme, which I attended this year(1999) have enlightened me even more about our diversity and the union we all have. See my stories on both these events from the links below. I'll be adding more; so much to tell! If you want to speak to me on line, I frequent Debbie's Den (sorry don't have the url anymore); this could be any night at any time. I don't keep a rigid schedule. Of course, there is always she-mail. 2000 I've been a little less energetic. Electrolysis continues along very smoothly. I have discovered the pain of the center lip area and am about 90% clean to just below the jaw line. I've worked very hard to improve this website throughout the year and am receiving an excellent response. In June I'd planned a trip to "Be All" and sadly ran short on funds, so had to cancel. During the summer I met a new friend, then living in California and now in Maine. We corresponded during the first trip to Maine as she updated me almost everyday. Later when she decided to move to Maine we shared her experiences in getting ready for the move and of course the move itself. I've also been rewarded by being able to help a few girls find themselves and grow in their TG experience. I'm so thankful that many have confided in me and trusted my help. I've had a few heath problems and have worked my cholesterol and blood pressure to acceptable levels. I quit smoking for about a month, but have yielded to it again. This battle I will not lose. Zyban helped me through it the first time and I will try until I win. Southern Comfort was another spectacular experience this year. See my SCC 2000 page for more detail. I continued to grow in both of my groups, serving as secretary in Rho Tau and writing a beauty column in our newsletter and reuniting with my Kappa ladies at the Christmas party. Let's see what 2001 will bring.
