Stroupe Wreaks Havoc in East: Czupryna, Wallace in
EGame of the week:F
Jones/Klingman knew they were finished this week before anyone could say "pass the
cranberry sauce". Tim Stroupe's players tallied the first five touchdowns of the
Houston/Detroit Thanksgiving day game. (That included Herman Moore, whom he didn't
start). The result was a 51-21 Stroupe romp, continuing his unbeaten streak over
Jones to three years. The news wasn't all bad for Jones. Talbot also lost 27-15
to Berger/Browell. The result wouldn't have mattered. Week 14 decides the divsion
with the winner Jones-Klingman Talbot game winning the division, but what is interesting
is that Stroupe can win the division should Jones and Talbot tie and Stroupe wins.
Playoff Breakdown
Based on NFL tiebreak rules, here is how the play off teams will be determined:
EEast:F Winner of Jones/Klingman vs Talbot is in. If there is a tie, Stroupe gets
in if he wins because of his better division record. If Stroupe loses, and Jones and
Talbot tie, Jones gets in based on head to head.
ECentral:F Ricker is in and has been for sometime. He also has avoided all
situations where he has the best record and gets to face the East winner in
the second round of the playoffs as the home team. (Home team wins all ties).
EWest:F Czupryna and Wallace are in. If Czypryna wins, he is the division
champion. If Wallace wins, and Czupryna loses, Wallace is the champion. If
Czupryna and Wallace both lose, Czupryna is the divison champion. If Czupryna
ties and Wallace wins, Wallace is champion. If Wallace ties and Czupryna loses,
Wallace is the champion. The West champion has the best record no matter what.
(Both Wallace and Czupryna defeated Ricker). The division winner with the best
record plays the wildcard winner in the second round.
EWildcard:F Whoever did not win the West between Czupryna and Wallace is the
home team for the wildcard in week 15. Best can be the second wildcard if he
wins or ties or if Jackson loses or ties. If Jackson wins and Best loses, Jackson
is the wildcard based on a better division record.

Playoff Party - possibly Sunday Dec 13
Please respond as soon as you can to some to some questions regarding the
Playoff Party:
Can you make it DEC 13? If not, when is a better day?
Dec 12?, 19?, 20? Jan 3? Jan 10?
Usually, we like to have it while the playoffs are in session, but we can have it
after the BRFL Super Bowl and during the NFL playoffs if possible.
We might start the party as early as 1. On the 13th, we will see
2 1:00 games (SF at Minnesota) + plus AFC and a 4:00 Dallas at Washington.
