TALBOT ALONE AT THE TOP BUT PARITY REIGNS

TALBOT finally has reached first place, and of all people, he has WALLACE to
thank. Talbot defeated BRATCHER 27-20 and Wallace knocked Montgomery off his
perch 27-17. With the imfamous "Faud Reviez" controversey behind them, it was
ironic that Talbot got help from Wallace to finally grab first place.

Has anybody been paying attention to CZUPRYNA lately? He has roared into second
place with a 36-24 victory over JONES/KLINGMAN. Credit J/K with a rare double:
Jay Novachek scored on a fake field goal. Since J/K has both Novachek and
Dallas D/ST, 2 TDs are awarded. The league interprets this as a special teams
touchdown since the special teams took the snap. Precidence is sited from a
1989 game between Bratcher and Best when Cris Carter scored on a fake field
goal TD pass. Bratcher also had the Philly special teams.

There is a pack of 7 3-3 teams plus 2 at 2-3-1. JACKSON beat BEST 36-21 behind
Phoenix QBs 3 TD passes. Since Best has won at leat once every year against
Jackson, watch for a playoff reversal. BERGER/BROWELL whipped Peil 39-24 with
a 3 TD Monday performance from Buffalo. Two TDs went to Peil's Andre Reed.
STROUPE's bench scored 26 points and his starters beat RICKER 27-11. Thirteenth
ranked Ricker has the second most points in the league.

And finally, one of those games that makes you wince: GATES 12 OUTLAW 9. The
key to this game was the aquisition by Gates of Louis Tillman. The replacement
for Outlaw's injured Rodney Hampton.
