ALL IS SET FOR THE SHOWDOWN, PART 1
Whoot, Here it is: the "Monsters of the Fantasy Gridiron", MONTGOMERY and
TALBOT are set to meet in week 10. At stake, the league's coveted first seed,
and playoff appearance money. MONTGOMERY out shot CZUPRYNA 48-35. CZ's designs
on the league's top spot are in trouble since he has lost to both Monty and
Talbot. Quietly Talbot picked up Tampa Bay's QBs and they scored 4 times
leading him past GATES 44-28.
For the second time this year, an inelidible player has effected the outcome
the game. The result was a 12-12 tie between JACKSON and BRATCHER. In a nutshell,
Jackson special reserved a kicker, Dean Biasucci. However, he was also
required to activate an IR player, Jake Reed. To create a spot for Reed, he
dropped Derrick Fenner who was off. The problem was that it was Fenner's slot
was the only one Jackson had available for special reserve. Biasucci was then
ineligible and his 9 points taken away. If Jackson had dropped someone else,
he would have won 21-12. If he had used is regular kicker, Lohmiller, he
would have won 16-12. If he played someone other than Bratcher, this mistake
may not have been caught.
Outlaw used to room with WALLACE, then moved out and got married. He defeated
Wallace, 36-12 and also moved out of the cellar. The new tenant, JONES/KLINGMAN
lost to BEST 37-18. It was their fifth straight loss. Next week is the grudge
match. Their hated rival. A man who they have never beaten in four tries, STROUPE.
Stroupe warmed up by losing to BERGER/BROWELL 50-24. B/B achieved their season
high in points and have snapped up a budding superstar in Robert Smith. Memo
from Browell to Berger: Stay on vacation.
There are a lot of 3-win teams with potential slogging it out at the bottom of
the standings: The "sometimes dangerous" PEIL defeated the "occasionally lethal"
RICKER 40-24.
