STREAKING RICKER TAKES HIS TURN ON CZ, 28-27; BEST MEANS BUSINESS
1
If it is an even number year, then it must be RICKER'S turn to beat CZUPRYNA, Week 7 results
but the last word is usually in the playoffs. In 92, Ricker trounced CZ in the Berger-Browell 48 Deitrich 14
Super Bowl 41-3, but in '93 CZ turned the tables as Shannon Sharpe found the Ricker 28 Czupryna 27
endzone 3 times. However, that wasn't the case Monday night as Elway accounted Jackson 44 Jones-Klingman 36
for three scores and none went to Sharpe. The same refrain repeated for the fourth Montgomery 18 Outlaw 16
time this year: More Monday heartbreak for CZ and splinter squad (Brent Jones). Best 52 Talbot 35
Peil 38 Gates 21
After being criticized for leading the league despite being 12th in scoring, BEST Stroupe 38 Wallace 12
proved he can score by whipping TALBOT 52-35. Natrone Means scored three times
and Ricky Watters twice. Those were the first multiple player Tds for BEST this Week 8 (Oct 20-24)
year. BERGER/BROWELL took back second place by pounding DIETRICH 48-14. B/B got Berger-Browell vs Stroupe
all of San Francisco's touchdowns from their 42-3 romp. The defense scored 22 of Czupryna vs Gates
those points and the QBs 24 for a 46 point net. (the league record for netting Jones-Klingman vs Wallace
from a single team is believed to be 51 by OUTLAW from Washington in 1991). Ricker vs Peil
Jackson vs Deitrich
Very quietly, STROUPE has slipped into third with a 33-12 win over punchless Outlaw vs Talbot
WALLACE who was hit hard by the bye week. Stroupe was once again led by the Montgomery vs Best
RAIDERS D who now lead the league with 44 points. OUTLAW has slipped from 1st
to 5th in two weeks. He lost to MONTGOMERY in a yawner 18-16. GREEN BAY AT MINNESOTA THU 8:00
WASHINGTON AT INDIANAPOLIS SUN 1:00
PEIL has emerged from the cellar with a 38-21 win over GATES. Kansas City came CHICAGO AT DETROIT 1:00
back to life to net PEIL 27 points. GATES' news was even worse as first round CINCINNATI AT CLEVELAND 1:00
pick Barry Foster is lost for 2-3 weeks with a sprained knee. Last year GATES LOS ANGELES RAMS AT NEW ORLEANS 1:00
went from 0-3 to 9-4 by working the waiver wire looking for backups to PITTSBURGH AT NEW YORK GIANTS 1:00
superstars in the event of injury. That strategy did not go unnoticed by JACKSON, DALLAS AT ARIZONA 4:00
who scooped Foster backup Bam Morris weeks ago. JACKSON won for only the second DENVER AT SAN DIEGO 4:00

Monday bed time to make you good for whole week. TAMPA BAY AT SAN FRANCISCO 4:00
