Week 8 THIS WEEK IN THE BRFL October 26, 1994

PEIL A COUPLE CHIEFS SHORT AS RICKER WINS FIFTH STRAIGHT, 50-48
1
PEIL is loaded with Kansas City players, but he doesn't play them all at once. Week 8 (Oct 20-24)
Maybe this week he should have. The Chiefs really spread it around in their high Berger-Browell 43 Stroupe 19
scoring win last week and Peil was left with Kimble Anders and Eric Martin on the Czupryna 34 Gates 21
splinter squad. RICKER was the beneficiary of Peil's mistake and he has now won Jones-Klingman 44 Wallace 34
five straight. The 50-48 score means another game where PEIL has scored over 40 Ricker 50 Peil 48
and lost. Jackson 52 Deitrich 31
Outlaw 47 Talbot 7
That high scoring game set the tone for the week as 7 teams scored over 40 points. Best 50 Montgomery 19
Jackson set the pace with his 52-31 win over Deitrich. He seems to have a knack
for his backs as Bam Morris joined Leonard Russell and Marcus Allen with TDs. A Week 9
special reserve of Washington's D/St was also a shrewd choice. Berger-Browell vs Gates
Czupryna vs Wallace
1. BEST and 2. BERGER/BROWELL may be starting to pull away in preparation for Jones-Klingman vs Best
their week 11 showdown. BEST slammed MONTGOMERY 50-19 thanks to newly acquired Ricker vs Stroupe
Indianapolis QBs and the rejuvenated Ricky Watters, who has scored 32 points the Jackson vs Talbot
last weeks. B/B cruised past Stroupe 43-19 thanks to Michael Irvin and the San Outlaw vs Deitrich
Francisco, the league's top QB. Montgomery vs Peil
The league's biggest spread this season is 40, that was turned in by OUTLAW in DALLAS AT CINCINNATI 1:00
his 47-7 whipping of TALBOT. This doesn't dispell the "Talbot's all QB" notion DETROIT AT NEW YORK GIANTS 1:00
as this was Miami's off week. It was another big day for Cleveland's D/St as KANSAS CITY AT BUFFALO 1:00
a fumbled punt was recovered in the endzone and Eric Metcalf returned another MIAMI AT NEW ENGLAND 1:00
punt. This was good news for CZUPRYNA who also benefited from Metcalf's return to PHILADELPHIA AT WASHINGTON 1:00
win his game over Gates 34-21. The real reason that CZ won this game was that SEATTLE AT SAN DIEGO 1:00
the AFC East was off. Not that Gates has a lot of players in the division, CLEVELAND AT DENVER 4:00
he doesn't. CZ has three and with those three off, it made for fewer personnel MINNESOTA AT TAMPA BAY 4:00
decisions and fewer opportunities to screw up. NEW YORK JETS AT INDIANAPOLIS 4:00
HOUSTON AT LOS ANGELES RAIDERS 4:00
PITTSBURGH AT ARIZONA 8:00
GREEN BAY AT CHICAGO MON 9:00
SF, LA RAM, NEW ORLEANS, ATLANTA OFF
