BERGER/BROWELL STOPS BEST 34-21; RICKER STREAK CRUSHED BY DEITRICH
1
Best chickened out. He had the regular season championship in hand if he would Week 10 (Nov 6-7)
have made a bold move and started his new pick-up Cincinnati Qbs. Instead he Wallace 26 Montgomery 24
played it safe and went with Buffalo. Buffalo and Andre Reed scored and
continually threatened in the second half Monday night, but Cincy's 24 would Week 11
have won the game over BERGER/BROWELL. B/B gained not only a victory, but a Berger-Browell 34 Best 21
tie breaker as well over Best who's lead is down to one game. Czupryna 19 Peil 19
Jones-Klingman 15 Talbot 31
BEST's loss kept RICKER in the hunt despite seeing his seven game win streak Deitrich 56 Ricker 24
end in a blowout by DEITRICH 56-24. For Ricker is was a regression to his 0-3 Jackson 25 Stroupe 18
start: Barry Sanders did not score, but compiled 252 yards! Good for 4 bonus Outlaw 45 Wallace 25
points. DEITRICH is attempting to close the gap on GATES, but 56 points didn't Gates 46 Montgomery 26
close it enough. GATES had 46 in his blowout of MONTGOMERY 46-26. With the
settling of the Wallace dispute, Monty lost two games in 4 days. Week 12 (Nov 20-21)
Berger-Browell vs Wallace
Wallace remembered his lineup for Outlaw, but it was to no avail. Outlaw had Czupryna vs Talbot
change of heart about Mario Bates. Bates was drafted by OUTLAW and placed on Jones-Klingman vs Stroupe
IR after having his jaw broken by his teammate (week 2). Outlaw dropped him Ricker vs Gates
to avoid having to activate him and losing another roster spot. Then he picked Jackson vs Best
him back up. Fortunately, Bates was passed over by 10 other owners. Outlaw Outlaw vs Peil
started him and he netted 14 points in a 45-25 victory. Montgomery vs Deitrich
Jackson also picked up a guy he once dropped named Carl Pickens. Offered him CLEVELAND AT KANSAS CITY 1:00
in a trade to Best, who turned him down. Then Jackson pulled him from his DETROIT AT CHICAGO 1:00
starting lineup and Pickens went on to score 21 points - for no one. "Stupid GREEN BAY AT BUFFALO 1:00
is as stupid does". Fortunately Jackson beat punchless Stroupe 25-18. Oh, that INDIANAPOLIS AT CINCINNATI 1:00
big Atlanta/Minnesota QB deal? Who got the better of whom? No one. Each MIAMI AT PITTSBURGH 1:00
QB threw one TD to the paired receiver. WASHINGTON AT DALLAS 1:00
SAN DIEGO AT NEW ENGLAND 1:00
Bragging rights among the old men in the league will not be settled this year NEW ORLEANS AT LOS ANGELES RAIDERS 4:00
as CZ and Peil tie. CZ had some help from Steve Christie on Monday (Yes!) night NEW YORK JETS AT MINNESOTA 4:00
with a 51 yard field goal. Perhaps PEIL was done in by Alvin "Doubtful" Harper, PHILADELPHIA AT ARIZONA 4:00
who's knee injury and poor driving landed him on Peil's IR and bonus point TAMPA BAY AT SEATTLE 4:00
landed him on this weeks splinter squad. ATLANTA AT DENVER 4:00
LOS ANGELES RAMS AT SAN FRANCISCO 8:00
NEW YORK GIANTS AT HOUSTON MON 9:00
