Week 11: History has Help Repeating Itself in BAR 46-43 WIN over JK

The top two might be settling in. The race for the top four has settled down and a game and a half separate 8 teams. Week 11 was not a time to do something stupid... BAR 46 JK 43 In 1991, JK faced an 0-10 team in week 11 and LOST 62-45. This year, week 11, 0-10 BAR, same result. BAR certainly scored enough to earn a victory as Brett Favre threw for a BRFL season high 5 TDs and Joey Galloway scored a season high 22 points for receivers. However, he needed a little help. He needed a couple guys panicing on Sunday morning a switching a QB that cost them 11 points. Sometines you win games because you outscore the other guy and sometines you win games because the other guy does something stupid. Either way, it is a "W".

BUD 46 CZ 33 He's just toying with us, isn't he? Perhaps he felt sorry that CZ would have to cheer against a player on his favorite team. Maybe he wants to hold back a little to make it more interesting. In any event, BUD did not need Curtis Martin's 14 points in disposing of CZ, guarantee and all. Now the only guarantee CZ can make is that he'll be submitting a lineup in week 14.

CJ 44 BST 27 CJ's rebuilt wonders continue to amaze. This week, the only drafted player to score a point was Herman Moore. BST got his usual from his Chicago combo, but the rest of the team was in a funk as CJ took his third straight from BST.

MOS 34 BR 16 MOS is a "poor man's" STP. This guy is 7th?! You bet. He's done it with tiebreakers: he beats who he has to beat. BR was one guy he had to beat, and he did it. CZ and BST are other guys he's beaten that has moved him ahead in the pack.

TAL 45 DP 17 DP may have had a shot at third place this week, but then there was TAL, who owns him. The inevitable result drops DP to fifth, and 32 points behind WAL.

WAL 33 GTS 26 WAL was a big beneficiary of the JK boner. He loses tiebreaks in a threesome with JK and DP, but wins a tiebreak over DP. He also increased his points lead over DP to 32, a critical factor since they both tied in week 2. GTS slipped into "no mans land" between a trio of 5-6 teams and a trio of 4-7 teams.

OUT 46 STP 33 The battle for second might of had a little more drama if STP hadn't said "hold the Salami" on Sunday morning and left his lineup intact. Rashaan Salaam's 2 TDs would have required OUT to sweat a little with Stover, and with CLE's tank job last night it could have easy been a goose egg. OUT has virtually wrapped up second with a game lead and tie-breaker over STP and a game and a half lead over WAL and DP.
