Week 15 Results

The top two survived and the two "cinderellas" are from the same family. BUD now owns league records for most consecutive wins (14) and most points in a season, 658. CZ formerly held the record with 13, but spread over two seasons, BST formerly held the record with points of 653, but in 16 games. BUD could have two more games to put all records out of sight!

BUD 47 BAR 25

There may have been some doubt that BUD was going to get it done in week 15. As of halftime of the early games nothing much was happening. A shutout was possible with New Orleans QBs, and New England wasn't doing much against the lowly Jets. Only the reliable Emmitt had a score. All of BARs key guys were going late, and BUD done for the weekend at 4. However, there was nothing to worry about, Curtis Martin, who once rescued BUD on a Monday night, scored twice and a New England kickoff return that was fumbled was recovered and run for a touchdown. A couple of BARs guys scored, but his dangerous Green Bay trio were surprisingly held to just 4 points.

OUT 30 GTS 20

The secret to winning in this league is that when you have a bad day, your opponent does even worse. 30 matches OUT's second lowest total this year. In these kind of games, it usually takes just one guy to step up, in OUT's case it was Derek Loville with two touchdowns. With the exception of his QBs and Darnay Scott, GTS' lineup was left shivering in the cold.

TAL 44 MOS 27

The only repeater from last year's final four is TAL. His key guy in this game was expected to be Shannon Sharpe, to block MOS' QBs. But Sharpe was hurt, and TAL dusted off Ken Dilger as a replacement. Dilger scored, as did virtually every player on his roster. Even long forgotten Glyn Milburn set an NFL record for combined yards. MOS flamed out after a great week 14: Elway to Miller only clicked once.

CZ 37 DP 12

CZ held an opponent to 12 points for the second straight week. He also shutout a powerful combo in OAK QB/Tim Brown. Last week he shut out SF QB/Rice. All of DP's points came from the Arizona Defense. CZ was paced by late season acquisitions Bill Brooks and Chris Sanders and the incredible leg of Morton Andersen who netted 16 points including three field goals of over 50 yards.
