1860 Slave schedule, Lauderdale Co., AL (SL #0803031) lists him as having 10 slaves and 3 slave houses.

On 27 February 1835 when William B. was 19, he first married Eliza Essa Holland, in Lauderdale Co., AL. Eliza Essa died in 1849/1850.
