This is a picture of Peace Park in Hiroshima, Japan.

 

 

 

 

 

 

The building in the left picture is now called "A-Bomb Dome". The atomic bomb was exploded in the air directly above this building. In other words...it is ground zero.

 

 

 

 

 

If you look closely at the top picture you can see the "A- Bomb Dome amidst miles of ruins and ashes. This is where Peace Park stands today. It was a hunbling experience to know that I was standing where all of that destruction took place.

 

 

 

These are a few of the pictures that hung on the walls of the Hiroshima museum.

 

 

 

 

Everyone walked through the museum in silence, slowly walking from picture to picture. We were the only Americans there.
This is the Hiroshima Castle in the middle of the city.
