Puppy Photo's
Molly and Bobby presented me with these wonderful babies on 12/27/99
I post the early photos because like so many others folks I had never seen cavaliers at the earliest stages of life. People told me that were the size a small hamster --- well I never have seen one of them either. I have whelped Cairn terriers and my girlfriends - Lab's, but neither prepared me for these wee littlest one.
the first photo is of the litter of 4 ( 2 girls, 2
boys), this photo was taken about 36 hrs after birth. 
Within 6 hrs
of taken this photo, I lost both of the boys, to unknown cause. The
smallest came into the world at 2 1/4 oz, the other was a little over 3 oz. --
Auburn Univ. - vet. school checked the larger boy and determined that it was a
failure to thrive.
during
the first wk; pups are weighted twice a day (on a food scale), until they broke
10 oz. or 300 grams. the girl (on the scale) is Hannah and weighted in at 170
grams or 6.3 oz on day 4
