TORIES THANK ENN!

ELECTION> Conservative Central Office have written a thank-you letter to ENN after we sent them a sarcastic sympathy card following the election. Our card had a picture of flowers and a butterfly with the words "with sympathy" on the front. Here's what we wrote in it.

"To Mr Major, Dr Mawhinny and all at Conservative Central Office. Please accept my commiserations at Thursdays result. It was a sad day for the party and the country. I was particularly sorry that Mr. Portillo lost his seat. (Printed here on the card: May it help you to know that many warm thoughts are with you at this time".) I look forward to seeing the Conservative flag flying over the United Kingdom again in five years' time. With my best wishes and all of those here in Fylde, Andrew Allman."

Even though we didn't mean a word of it, they wrote back and thanked us. The letter has been reproduced for ENN (below).
