CNC Logo NEWS IN BRIEF

CNC's 2nd year students are preparing for the annual leavers' day which takes place this Friday, 22nd May. The day begins with the Leavers' Mass in the morning, followed by a buffet in the college. In the evening, the students and the staff gather for the annual Leavers' Do, which takes place at the Park Hall Hotel at Charnock Richard, near Chorley. The event has become an important tradition for CNC leavers and both the evening out and the Mass are always well attended. ENN wishes all the departing students the best of luck.

Top musicians from CNC have recorded a CD which will go on sale later next month. "Lark Life" has been recorded by the college's top bands and artists in response to the recent arts festival at the college. The CD goes on sale in June, priced £5. For details contact the college on (01772) 460181. RS Chief Mr. Finnerty has been involved in a bizzare meeting with the Teletubbies. Mr. F dubbed over a Teletubbies video for an RE class. Details of the exact content are sketchy, but ENN is trying to obtain a copy of the video.

Despite the success of the college's netball team, the football side is having a difficult season. They've already been knocked out of the national cup, which they won last year. Now PE teacher Kevin Loughran suffered an embarrasing 10-1 defeat as part of a Sunday League football team. It's bad news for the staff team as they prepare for July's staff-student match.

And finally... it's been a while, but ENN is warming up the printing presses for another printed edition soon. The last edition was published before Easter, but ENN Editor Andrew Allman has been seen in the college gathering information. The next edition is expected sometime next week. The Ed apologised for the delay, saying, "It has been a while since the last edition, but as ever the website has been kept up-to-date. I've been working on some rather pressing matters, but full service will be resumed shortly. Apologies to our millions of fans."
