Controversy aside.....

A year on from Limelightgate, the college's theatre company is enjoying quieter times. Not much of "The Mysteries" remains - photos of the performance are usually on display at Limelights events, and a billboard poster reading "Preston Jesus Play Axed", presented to the company by local newsagent Sid, is stuck to the back of a cupboard door. However, the company is as busy as ever. Bernadette Smith made her directorial debut with "Those without Sin", adapted from Shakespear's "Measure for Measure". Also last term, as a follow up to "Oedipus" (Limelights 1994), the company presented Jocasta and Dylan Thomas' classic "Under Milk Wood", and the Dance Studies students presented a fully-clothed performance entitled "In the Distance of Time". Two more performances are planned for this term - watch this space!
