IT'S GOOD TO YORKREVIEW> A couple of weeks ago I visited our ex-students Mr. Wood and Robert Gibson in York. There were many highlights of the weekend - throwing drinks around outside Wentworth bar, playing GP2 on Mr. Woods new PC, climbing the tower at York Minster and sitting through several stimulating Maths lectures.
The weather was boiling for my two-night stay in Vanbrugh College. I had a unique insight into how ENN hits the paper and the internet, and how ‘photos are scanned for the website. Mr. Wood and I also witnessed an act of open obscenity late at night. Mr. Wood assured me that the students concerned would be suitably punished.
On the journey home, I got a cracking view of Preston, saw two sites of big CNC football victories at Irongate and Factory Lane, and had a conversation with some mad woman on her way to Lancaster. And if anyone wants to eat at an expensive restaurant, try Regional Railways Transpennine Express. A can of coke will cost you 77p, a cup of tea (in a plastic cup) 87p and 60p will buy you a bag of crisps. How reasonable.
